Dance: Two-Week Camp
This camp session is two-weeks long. Campers must sign up for both weeks.
Join us for a two-week dance camp! Your child will learn basic ballet techniques and combinations as well as jazz techniques. Ballet stories and history will be taught using picture books. The camp attendees will learn ballet and jazz dances to perform at the recital on the last day of camp. Camp attendees will also participate in making their own costumes.
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
With 14 and a half years of ballet training, Natalie Riggs has built an impressive resume that spans a wide variety of styles and experiences. She performed in the Brown-Forman Nutcracker for six consecutive years and trained in jazz for three years, musical theatre for seven years, flamenco for two years, hip hop for two years, and modern/lyrical dance for five years. Her talent has been showcased in four fall showcases and eight spring showcases, along with four different summer dance training intensives. She was also a featured ensemble member for dancing in West Jessamine’s production of Mean Girls and participated in Walden School’s all-school musical. Additionally, she completed two years in the Ballet Buddy Program at the Louisville Ballet School and spent two summers at Walden Drama Camp, further demonstrating her passion for the performing arts.
