Unleash your inner woodworker!

Intro to Woodworking I

Get ready to build in this hands-on camp! You’ll learn the basics of woodworking, from using tools safely to measuring, cutting, and assembling your own project. Perfect for beginners, this camp will introduce novice woodworkers to a moxon vise, try square, tape measure, router plane and a ryoba, a Japanese pull saw, which is much easier to use than traditional handsaws.

Campers who complete this camp will be ready to tackle more projects in the Intro to Woodworking II Camp later this summer.

WEEK: June 15-19
TIME: 12:45-3:45pm
COST: $195/week
GRADES: 3rd-8th

Intro to Woodworking II

This camp session is two-weeks long. Campers must sign up for both weeks.

If you enjoyed Intro to Woodworking I, jump back in and continue honing your skills with the moxon vise, try square, tape measure and ryoba saw. You will also be introduced to other hand tools on your way to creating two fun and functional projects.

Attendance in Intro Woodworking I camps (either Summer 2025 or 2026) is required as it builds on those skills and rules of safety.

WEEKS: July 6-17
TIME: 9:15am-12:15pm
